Stand on our terrace, raise your eyes and glass to the horizon.

To the north east we have our friends in Aberaeron, and beyond the hills of Snowdonia, to the north the expanse of Cardigan Bay and the Llyn Peninsula. Now cast your gaze below at the bucolic scene of New Quay harbour; fishermen going about their daily tasks, boaters setting out for the day and locals and holidaymakers alike enjoying the beauty that is West Wales.

How could we fail to be inspired and not want to share our good fortune to find such a special location.

We are lucky having lived amongst this for many years and now look to enhance the New Quay experience with Traeth Bar and Grill. The restaurant may be new to New Quay but we are not and neither are we new to the restaurant trade, with a combined experience of strong chef training with Anthony Worrall Thompson, a wine business and interior design.

All of this comes together to produce the Traeth experience, well cooked and sourced produce delivered in a buzzy modern space by attentive and knowledgeable staff.

Don’t think we’ve neglected the drinks as a quick scan down the deep and well thought out wine list will transport you to warmer climes and partner your chosen dish exactly. We’ve also sourced local beers and ciders from Wales, hopefully we’ve thought of everything but if we haven’t we’d love your suggestions.

We are committed to bringing the best to Cardigan Bay and spreading the message of all that is good that our area has too offer……On behalf of the Traeth owners welcome, be greedy and grab a big slice of the West Wales experience.
