Food Values & Menus

Chef Nige Jones and his team create menus featuring traditional favourites as well as something a little different.  

 

We use locally sourced, organic where possible, and seasonal ingredients, minimising food miles and keeping us in touch with the cycle of the British growing year.  

 

Our steaks are 35 day dry-aged from ethical producers of prime pedigree herds and fish, where possible, from right outside our front door as we aim to enrich our community and involve them in our enterprise. We believe ecology and respect for the environment are a duty of any chef when selecting ingredients.

 

Lunch and Dinner

Menus are printed daily to take into account of what’s best at the market that day but could include

 

Lunch  - all under £10

Traeth 8 oz 100% beef burger on a toasted onion bun, skinny fries

Asparagus tagliatelle (a veggie option is offered every day)

Moules Marinères and chips

Open steak sandwich of 35 day aged rump steak with leaves and mayo

Venison sausages and mash

Skinny fries of the day: truffle oil and parmesan

 

Dinner

To start: Grilled fillet of New Quay mackerel, gooseberry compote or Duck rillette, granary toasts

Mains: Roast suckling pig, new potatoes crushed with sage, apple chilli jelly or Ocean halibut, parmentier potatoes, fennel pollen

Dessert: Pomegranate pavlova or Hot chocolate and black cherry fondant.
